Rules and Regulations
ADMISSION AND ACCOMMODATION

1. Admission to the Club is with either a membership card or a guest ticket that was purchased by a Club member for one of their guests. MEMBERSHIP CARDS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE AND MISUSE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP.

2. The Club opens at 8:00 A.M. and closes at 11:00 PM. The Club gates will close at 11 PM and all members must vacate the premises. No one is permitted on the property after closing. Sleeping or staying overnight is forbidden.

3. MINORS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON CLUB GROUNDS UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR PARENTS.

4. AFTER 8 PM, MINORS ON CLUB GROUNDS MUST BE UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION OF THEIR PARENTS.

5. A single admission admits to the Club privileges that person in whose name the membership is registered and no one else.

6. A separate rental charge as shown on the schedule of base rentals is made for a private accommodation; such as cabana, cabanette or bath cabin.

7. Assignment of accommodations is solely within the discretion of the Management and is dependent upon their availability.

8. Members sharing accommodation are individually responsible for the full value of the accommodation, plus admission charges.

9. No member may assign, sublet of share his private accommodation with another member, except with written consent of the Management. No one may use a member's private accommodation in his absence without written permission of the member filed with the Management.

10. All members must show their admission identification if and as requested.

11. Admission identification symbols and auto passes are not transferable for any reason whatsoever. Admission symbols and auto passes found in the possession of unauthorized persons will be confiscated.

GUESTS

1. Guests must be accompanied by a member who has a prepaid guest ticket, or they may present a prepaid guest ticket should a member be absent. Guests may not park their cars in the Club lots. Any one guest is limited to five visits during the seasons; members are responsible for the appearance and conduct of their guest.


AUTO RESTRICTIONS

1. Speeding on the Club property, parking spaces and adjacent roads is forbidden. The speed limit is restricted to 5 miles per hour. Proper attention must be given to traffic lights, crosswalks, pedestrians, children, directional and speed signs.

2. Members shall park cars in spaces designated by the Management.

3. Only duly licensed persons may drive on the Club roads.

4. Members are entitled to park their cars in Club parking lots under the following restrictions; one car per bath cabin, two cars per cabanette and three cars per cabana.

5. Members are urged to lock their automobiles.

6. The Club is not responsible for automobiles parked on Club property.


SAFETY & HEALTH

1. Members and their guests may not bathe unless lifeguards are on duty. The lifeguard supervisor has final discretion regarding activities that are not permitted in the pool or ocean. Bathing in the ocean after dark is strictly forbidden.

2. THE USE OF SCOOTERS, RIDING TOYS, BICYCLES, SKATEBOARDS, and ROLLER BLADES are PROHIBITED ON CLUB GROUNDS.

3. BICYCLES MUST BE LOCKED IN THE BICYCLE RACKS OR IN THE MEMBERS ACCOMMODATION. NO BICYCLE CAN BE CHAINED OR LEFT IN ANY PUBLIC AREA.

4. BALL PLAYING IS PERMITTED ON THE BALL FIELD ONLY.

5. Tubes, floats and rubber mats are subject to such restrictions as the lifeguards may direct.

6. Surfboards, boats, skin-diving equipment, spear or other types of fishing paraphernalia ARE NOT PERMITTED ON SILVER GULL CLUB GROUNDS.

7. No firearms are allowed on the club property at any time.

8. No pets, animals or birds are allowed on the Club property.

9. All refuse must be packaged and deposited in the litter baskets placed on the Club property for this purpose. Littering is offensive to all.

10. The sidewalks, paths and passageways must not be obstructed by members or guests or used for any purposes except ingress and egress.

11. Private accommodation are rented for the use of the occupants and members may not trespass upon the privacy of adjoining accommodations. No commerce of any nature whatsoever may be conducted in private accommodations.

12. FIREWORKS AND OPEN FLAMES ON THE DECKS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

13. Baby carriages and strollers may not block passageways, entrances, exits or congregate in groups in public rooms of the Club causing inconvenience and annoyance to other members.


ACCESSORIES & ATTIRE

1. Radios, Boom Boxes, TV's or musical instruments may not be played so loudly as to annoy other members.

2. No curtains, shades, screens, umbrellas, awnings or other devices shall be used in cabanas or cabanettes or bath cabins without written permission of the Management. Furniture may be brought into cabanas, cabanettes, and bath cabins at the owner's risk.

3. Modesty in beach attire is mandatory. Disrobing on the beach or in the parking lots, or in the public restrooms is strictly prohibited.


FOOD

1. No cooking or cooking devices including hot plates, microwaves, electric ovens, toasters, roto broilers or coffee percolators will be allowed. Members may bring food, or purchase it from the cafeteria, for consumption in accommodations.

2. Only food purchased in the Cafeteria may be consumed in the Cafeteria. You may not bring any food or beverages into the Cafeteria.

3. Cabana catering from the Club kitchen is available. No outside catering will be permitted.

4. Picnic tables are provided in many areas of the Club for your convenience.


GENERAL

1. All complaints must be made in writing to the General Manager of the Club.

2. No person under the age of 21 will be permitted in the cocktail lounge at any time or be permitted to consume alcoholic beverages.

3. No member or guest may bring to the Public Rooms (Cocktail Lounges, Teenage Lounge, Restaurant, Café, Cafeteria, or Pool Terrace) any food or alcoholic beverage, set up or drink mixed outside these premises. Only food and beverages purchased from the Club are permitted to be consumed in the Public Rooms and Terraces of the Club.

4. Minors are forbidden to conduct parties in private accommodations unless parents are present.

5. Doors of cabanas must remain open while occupied.

6. No beer kegs may be brought into the Club property. Packaged beer and liquor brought into the Club property must be covered with wrapping paper or enclosed in boxes, baskets or luggage.

7. The Club is not responsible for any property stored by occupants in their cabana, cabanette, bath cabin, and/or automobiles or any property whatsoever left on decks, patios, parking lots, entranceways, tennis courts, or beaches.


VACATING PREMISES

1. The Club premises are rented for the period from "the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day." All members are required to vacate their private accommodations and remove their belongings at the close of the season. The Club and the lessor are not responsible in any way for property not removed on or before that time. Members leaving furniture and equipment on the Club property do so completely at their own risk.


THESE RULES ARE PROMULGATED FOR THE CONVENIENCE AND COMFORT OF MEMBERS. VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN LOSS OR SUSPENSION OF ADMISSION.
